Hi there! I am a new Student Ambassador for Engineers Australia. I thought it would be best for us all to introduce ourselves here, a space for WA students to connect and ask each other questions about engineering, studying and networking etc.

What do you study? : I study electrical and renewable energy engineering.

What university do you study at?: Murdoch University.

Why did you want to study engineering?: I have always enjoyed figuring out how things worked and was good at math, engineering seemed like an obvious career choice.

Fun fact?: When I'm not at gym I am out fishing or 4WD!

Just copy and paste these questions and introduce yourself, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Dylan and good afternoon everyone!

I am currently an Electrical and Electronic Engineering student at UWA. I've also been selected as an EA student ambassador and have had the pleasure of meeting the current and new student ambassadors yesterday at the induction/planning session!

⦿ Why have I chosen engineering: Always loved solving problems and learning about physics. I also went down the hobby electronics rabbit-hole and I ended up loving EE.

⦿ Fun facts: I'm really into bodybuilding and boxing. Otherwise, you'll probably catch me fooling around with digital electronics.

    Cheers,

    Franco Heraud.

Hi everyone, nice to meet you!

I'm currently studying Mechatronics Engineering at ECU, entering my third year now. I've also just been selected as an EA Student ambassador, and it was wonderful to meet you all last week.

Why I chose engineering: I've always loved a challenge and wanted to enter a job with continuous learning opportunities!

I'm excited about the opportunity to work as an EA Student Ambassador and look forward to working with you all.

    Kind regards,
    Jessica Dippenaar.
