Hey everyone! Excited to meet you all. I'm currently a second year aerospace engineering student. Engineering excites me because I get to know how most of the things in the world works (and I also get to make them!). When I'm not immersed in my studies, you might catch me indulging in making coffee, painting, and exploring nature.

    Hi everyone!

I'm Millie and I'm a civil engineering student at the University of Melbourne, currently looking to pursue a career in geotechnical engineering. Last summer, I undertook an internship in tailings management in Perth, and it piqued my interest in this field! I am currently still working remotely for the same company and I'm really enjoying learning practical and soft skills which complement the theoretical knowledge we learn at university.

When I'm not studying, I'm still thinking about engineering, as I am the Vice President of the Melbourne University Civil and Structural Society (MUCSS). At MUCSS, we host industry and social events throughout the year to provide like-minded students the opportunity to meet outside of classes, as well as network and develop their professional skills. Membership is free for all University of Melbourne students, so feel free to check us out on Facebook if you're interested! https://www.facebook.com/mucssociety

Thanks for your time, I hope everyone's exams go well!

Hey everyone! As a first-year Meng student at EIT with a focus on the fascinating field of industrial automation, my name is Michael Didier. My interest in how things function led to a desire for leveraging the newest technology to optimise workflows and processes, which is where my adventure started. Consider me as a link between the digital world of code and the real world of machinery, creating solutions that improve the efficiency and intelligence of various sectors.

I'm not just circuits and algorithms, though!  When I'm not delving into textbooks or fiddling with robots, I'm taking in Victoria's colourful culture. There's always something new to discover in this quaint state, whether you choose to hike the gorgeous trails around the Dandenong Ranges or explore the busy laneways of Melbourne.

I'm currently immersed in the field of automation for all purposes at EIT. Every new idea I learn piques my interest in the field of engineering, whether I'm studying the complexities of robotic control systems or solving the puzzles of machine learning algorithms. It's about influencing how we engage with the world around us, not simply about producing stuff, and it's an idea that really electrifies me. ⚑️

But I'm not just interested in learning in the classroom. You can always find me deep in research papers, delving into the most innovative approaches to industrial programming, when I have some free time. I'm especially curious about how these developments are changing industries-from optimising production lines to anticipating maintenance requirements before they arise. I'm excited to see what inventions are just around the bend because it's such an intriguing look into the future.

That's me in a nutshell: an enthusiastic engineer, a Vic fan, and a lifelong student on a quest to automate and improve efficiency throughout the world. Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries you may have concerned industrial automation, Victoria's wonders, or the newest advancements in engineering! I'm happy to talk at all times.

    Hello everyone!

I am thrilled to meet all of you soon, and I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this community. I'm currently studying for my Master's in Engineering (Telecommunication) at Melbourne Institute of Technology - Melbourne Campus. My background mainly involves Telecommunication Network Engineering and Engineering Project Management, with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

I find engineering exciting because it allows me to learn something new every day. Technology is advancing constantly, and I believe in continuous learning.

Outside of my studies, you'll usually find me with a book and a cup of coffee. I'm looking forward to meeting and connecting with all of you.

    Hi All,

I'm David, a Master of Industrial Engineering Student at the University of Melbourne. I returned to study after a little time working in Agriculture in Qld.

Despite my background, I've had a lifelong passion for Aerospace, which is the industry I intend to find myself working in the future, hopefully working on finding efficiencies and developing more sustainable manufacturing processes.

When I'm not studying I'm spending time with my daughter, identifying every single plane that flies overhead, or restoring and repairing old windmills on farms. I am also involved with the Aerospace and Rocket Engineering Society (ARES) and Rocketry Team here at UniMelb.

I'm looking forward to being an active Student Ambassador and providing the kind of support to students that I was lucky enough to receive myself.

    Cheers!

    Hi everyone!

I'm Ramsha Asif, a third-year Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering student, deeply fascinated by the world of automation and intelligent systems. I love how this field blends creativity with cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems. I absolutely love what I'm studying.

If it is not still clear, I am a big nerd. But underneath all the nerd is an avid sports enthusiast. I also love reading and exploring new places.

I'm excited to be a part of this community and look forward to meeting with all of you.

    Howdy everyone,

Anton here - repping civvies! It's great to be part of the EA ambassador team here in Vic. I'm a soon-to-be final year civ eng student at Monash and have been involved in club/industry-related stuff for several years now.

I've been part of ACES (Monash Association of Civil Engineering Students) since my first year and have thrived on the experience of meeting people, leading and organising events and the career opportunities that presented themselves. I had the crazy experience of working on two $150mil+ major road projects as an undergrad "site" engineer and now I (help...well, attempt to help...I try!) structurally design hospitals/schools/skyscrapers for a large consultancy.

Some pictures to help put a name to face.

🌟 Beyond work/uni: catch me at Parkrun (and ordering a BIG BREAKFAST afterwards), at the gym or at the bar with mates after work.

πŸŽ‰ Fun Fact: One of my biggest role models is Destin Sandlin from the YouTube channel 'Smarter Every Day'. I love his sense of curiosity, his Mythbusters-level excitement for all things engineering, and his kindness and humbleness as a husband and father.

    Cheers,

    Hi everyone,

I'm Arushi and I'm currently studying Materials Engineering at Monash University. I am interested to pursue a career in Materials Engineering because I am very curious about how and why things are the way they are, down to the molecular level. In my spare time I enjoy swimming and doing various types of puzzles. I look forward to being a part of this community!

    Hey everyone!

I'm Siri, a postgraduate student in Civil Engineering from La Trobe university. My interest for Civil Engineering started at a young age with my fascination for buildings. It eventually developed into a desire to make the industry sustainable through greener technologies and construction processes. I'm looking for Graduate Civil Engineer role within companies with similar values and vision. I have been living in Melbourne for about a year now and got lucky enough to experience other great places Australia boards home to: Cairns, Gold coast and Sydney. The view is never disappointing on the flip side of the world. Personally, I love spending time with people which led me to take up multiple volunteering roles related to Mental health awareness, STEM education and rights for international women and non-binary gendered people. Working in teams has always been a cherishing experience for me. Pencil sketching and digital art are my go-to stressbusters and I am always down for a delightful conversation over a coffee, but beware, I will end up ordering Hot Chocolate instead.

Hi Everyone, excited to be a part of this community!

I'm currently a third year mechatronics student at RMIT. Engineering excites me because it shows me how things work the way they do, I often get curious at a weird design and upon researching it, there is a very specific reason to why it's been done that way.

When I'm not immersed in my studies, you can often catch me hiking, working out or at a mates place.
