Thanks Kaswar for expressing your interest in volunteering!
We have put together a form for all members of the engineering community who are interested in volunteering to complete. We hope this creates a pool of volunteers to source from for any upcoming tasks, it will also enable us to post relevant opportunities directly to those interested. We pass this information on to other areas of Engineers Australia when relevant.
We can see you have recently submitted, great! We'll be sure to forward your details onto others when appropriate.
We encourage you to keep visiting the community to see what's new. This will be particularly useful when many of our committees call for open expressions of interest in fulfilling vacancies on our divisional and national committees later this year, via either the Elections or EOI process.
And since some of these positions are often non-technical roles to find out more about what being an Office Bearer or Volunteer entails, or how to get involved further - please refer to our Introduction to Volunteering at EA and How to Volunteer at EA documents.
There's also Young Engineers Student Ambassador Program run by Young Engineers Australia - so pointing you to their website for additional information and guides.
Otherwise, we've recently launched the new Mentoring Hub to our members. It's designed to be a central place and active community wherein members can:
- Connect with mentors and peers
- Access a wide range of mentoring resources
- Discover local and online opportunities for networking and skill developments
Thanks again for your keen interest.

Subject: Pathway to Become a Volunteer and Ambassador for Engineers Australia
Hello everyone,
My name is Kawsar Ahmed, and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Charles Darwin University. I am passionate about engineering innovation and building strong professional communities.
I am very interested in becoming a volunteer and eventually an ambassador for Engineers Australia. I would love to contribute to initiatives that support students, promote engineering careers, and give back to the community.
Could anyone kindly guide me on the process, opportunities available, and how I can get involved in volunteering and ambassador programs? I am excited to learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions alongside this vibrant community.
Thank you in advance for your advice and support!
