On behalf of Engineers Australia, Kriston Symons, President of the Victoria Division, warmly welcomes you to the second event of the Suburban Engineering Series, Engineering the Future – how to Leverage the Advantages of Hydrogen in heavy industry and Mobility.
Attendees will begin the event with the opportunity to tour the CSIRO Hydrogen Refueller, network with colleagues and meet CSIRO researchers working on novel hydrogen technologies. There will be light refreshments available on arrival. Tours of the hydrogen refueller will commence at 4:40 pm and be conducted every 10 minutes, with the final tour departing at 5:00 pm. To ensure a comfortable experience, we kindly ask that you wear closed-toe shoes. If you would like to participate in the hydrogen refueller tour, please arrive promptly by 4:30 pm.
After the networking, refreshments and tours, the presentations will begin with Jenny Mitchell, General Manager Policy and Advocacy at Engineers Australia, who will provide a vital policy update, outlining Engineers Australia’s advocacy initiatives. She will discuss how we can foster a sustainable, skilled, and innovative future, anchored by the three key pillars of sustainability, skills, and innovation, to enhance our influence and impact within the engineering profession. Next, we are privileged to hear from Dr. Karen Kozielski, Senior Principal Research Consultant, who will share her expertise on collaborating with CSIRO across the Hydrogen Value Chain, highlighting the pathways to effective hydrogen integration. Deepak Mistry will then present on the Hydrogen Refuelling Station, showcasing its pivotal role as a solution for the decarbonisation of transport.
To conclude our event, we invite you to engage in a lively panel discussion followed by an audience Q&A, where your questions and insights will be welcomed.
Guests are encouraged to access the site from the entrance off Research Way and sign-in at CSIRO Clayton Central Reception (https://maps.app.goo.gl/W46ydW8c1ciR5MyZ7). Parking is available on the CSIRO site with bays located along the internal East-West road (left or right at the intersection immediately after entering the site from Research Way).
