Icon Water: Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre site tour

The site visit aims to provide engineers with a comprehensive understanding of the operations, technologies, and scale of the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LMWQCC), which serves as the main wastewater treatment facility for the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Engineers will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the processes involved in treating wastewater and learn about the innovative measures undertaken by Icon Water to maintain water quality and environmental sustainability.

The site visit to LMWQCC offers engineers a unique opportunity to gain insights into one of Australia's largest inland wastewater treatment facilities. Through interactive tours, presentations, and discussions, participants will deepen their understanding of wastewater treatment processes, environmental stewardship, and the role of engineering in sustainable water management.

Note: Participants are advised to wear appropriate attire and adhere to safety guidelines during the site visit. Please ensure to bring the following PPE:

  • High vis vest
  • Safety glasses
  • Hard hat
