Managing diverse engineering teams

An Engineering Education Australia Virtual Workshop:

Research shows that gender-balanced and racially-diverse engineering teams perform better when it comes to decision making, problem solving, and innovation. This leads to better design, implementation, and completion rates for your firm’s engineering projects.

This workshop will give you practical skills, tips and tools to manage and lead diverse teams in an engineering workplace.

While there are more generalist diversity training courses available, the facilitators often aren’t from engineering backgrounds. This means they don’t fully understand the profession and its unique culture. Their case studies don’t reflect the unique practical challenges engineers face.

Arti is a practising engineer with 20 years' experience in the profession, bringing her lived experience of the profession to the training to make it authentic and impactful.

By the end of this course, you’ll have the skills to successfully manage a diverse engineering workforce benefit from lower attrition rates, better performance, and better Return on Investment.

Who should attend?

This course is ideal for team leaders, project leaders, project managers, managers and leaders across all engineering disciplines, as well as anyone interested in improving diversity and inclusion in their workplace.
