The Electrical & ITEE Colleges Joint Branch Committee in Newcastle hosted a hybrid technical event on Wednesday 10 April 2024 titled Renewable Energy Zones Development Considerations, presented by Lulu Shao from the Energy Corporation of NSW. It was an informative presentation that discussed power system design, including generation mix and curtailment, interfacing with existing network, downstream constraints, system strength mitigation, voltage control and reactive power compensation.
